[Hans H.Koch: Christmas decorations, 1918. Mogens Koch. Le Klint 105: 1942]

«Inspired by homemade Christmas ornament, Mogens Koch created a pleated paper lantern that radiates warm diffused light and displays the mastery of geometry that characterized his work as an architect and as a designer. In high school, Koch studied matehmatics with more enthusiasm than aptitude. But he discovered his special gift under the tutelage of his architect-uncle Hans Koch: a mathematical genius devoted to intricate patterns and three-dimensional forms, who is now best remembered for his partnership with Carl Petersen, the architect of the Faaborg Museum, on the island of Funen.»
